Founder & Chief Executive Officer
An attorney by training, Sarah served as a public defender at the Legal Aid Society in New York criminal court from 2010 through 2017, where she litigated a range of cases from misdemeanors to violent felonies for clients that could not afford to hire their own lawyer. Even before working at the Legal Aid Society, since she was a child, Sarah and her family volunteered handing out hot meals to homeless families with the Exchange Club, a local New Jersey non-profit that her family is still connected to.
These are the stepping-stones that led Sarah to where she is now – starting a small business near home. Sarah's unique experience as a public defender, lifelong dedication to giving back to the community, and interest in the medicinal potential of cannabis to both help relieve the suffering of sick people and help deal with the scourge of opioid addiction – all of these things, led Sarah to form Middle Valley Partners, LLC, dba Valley Wellness – the name under which Sarah will apply for a medical marijuana dispensary license.
Sarah will be hands on in the day-to-day operations of her business and to ensure success MVP has consulted with proven professionals with a wide range of experience throughout the medicinal cannabis industry. Keeping things close to home, MVP’s investors are all individuals, not companies, with strong ties to New Jersey.
Born in West Windsor, New Jersey, Sarah has lived in New Jersey on and off throughout her whole life. After earning her BA and subsequent JD at the University of Miami in Florida, Sarah moved back North and clerked for a criminal court judge in Paterson, NJ. She married her high school sweetheart and they have two young children. Sarah enjoys restoring their eighteenth century farmhouse on Schooley’s Mountain, horseback riding, and spending time with her two boys.
